About AI Workbench
A workbench for practical AI
Not an AI company selling the future. A place to document the real, hands-on process of learning and building with AI — in public, one useful piece at a time.
AI Workbench started from a simple frustration: most AI content is either hype about what's coming or research that never touches real work. I wanted a third option — a place that shows what actually happens when you sit down and use these tools to build real things.
A workbench is where you make things. It's a little messy, it's honest about the process, and it's judged by what comes off it. That's the spirit here. The goal isn't to look like an expert — it's to be genuinely useful to the next person figuring this out.
Everything is written from experience: something built, broken, or worked out the hard way. If that sounds like your kind of thing, you're in the right place.
What guides this
Principles
Practical over theoretical
Every idea here has been used on real work. If it hasn't earned its place in practice, it doesn't get written up.
Honest over impressive
The dead ends and the things that didn't work are just as valuable as the wins — and far more honest.
Compounding over viral
This is a body of work built to last, not a feed chasing attention. Slow content that gets more useful over time.
Calm over hype
No countdowns, no doom, no breathless predictions. Just steady, useful signal in a very noisy space.
